Our Luscious Lamb

Our lamb is produced in a very traditional manner from our own flock of Blackface ewes. They are crossed with the Blue-faced Leicester to produce Scotch Mule lambs for breeding and finishing. We also use Texel tups to produce lambs with a better conformation for finishing.
Lambing starts at the beginning of April. The ewes and lambs are grazed at West Leys throughout the summer and mature naturally on the grass.
We are members of the Quality Meat Scotland Assurance scheme for sheep.
